  • Researched figures covered in the exhibition, writing short biographies to explain who they were.

  • Sourced extensive imagery to accompany all content from stock image sources with suitable licenses and created a comprehensive list of these images and sources to provide long term traceability.

  • This exhibition was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Writer, Researcher, Editor - Unshackled Exhibition and Web App - Roar Film and Monash University

  • Researched and wrote numerous articles and display item captions for the web app and exhibition, covering people and events in history related to collective action, trade unionism, convicts, and colonialism between 1750-1901. This exhibition was the next step in the 5 year Conviction Politics ARC Digital History Linkage project.

  • Cleaned, analysed, and collated data from the more than 75,000 UNESCO listed convict records digitised by Digital History Tasmania to be used for interpretation in projected data visualisations.

  • Sourced extensive imagery for all content from either the Public Domain or sources with suitable Creative Commons licenses and created a comprehensive list of these images and sources to provide long term traceability.

  • Liaised with academics and institutions related to exhibition to source longer articles and difficult to access imagery.

  • This exhibition debuted at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, but is set to tour nationally.

Writer, Researcher, Copy Editor - Conviction Politics ARC Project - Roar Film and Monash University

  • Wrote more than 150 short read articles for Conviction Politics web app project, covering people and events in history related to collective action, trade unionism, convicts, and colonialism between 1750-1901.

  • Helped organise and advised on the implementation of a new UI for the web app and its improved useability.

  • Wrote new credits and acknowledgements, including an acknowledgement of country.

Writer, Researcher, Data Cleaner - Unshackled at the Hobart Penitentiary - Roar Film

  • Researched and wrote 41 individualised biographies of convicts sent to Van Diemen’s Land between 1805-1853. These are displayed on screens in the penitentiary when no visitor has chosen a convict to view, as well as on the web app on visitors’ phones.

  • Researched and wrote various pieces of stock text to be used when a chosen convict is displayed on screens at the penitentiary or on the web app. This text had deliberate gaps that could be filled automatically to match data for each individual convict, turning data points into clear sentences.

  • Cleaned, analysed, and collated data from the more than 75,000 UNESCO listed convict records digitised by Digital History Tasmania to be used for interpretation.

  • Sourced imagery for all content from either the Public Domain or sources with suitable Creative Commons licenses and created a comprehensive list of these images and sources to provide long term traceability.

  • This project was shortlisted for a Virtual Canvas Award at the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) Awards.

  • Filmed two primary school drama lessons at Moonah Primary School for demonstration to Education students of what such lessons are like, and how engaged kids can be in primary school drama.

  • Researched information on specific locations and their renaming by settlers, also looked at archives for photographs of key historic moments in race relations between white and Indigenous Australians.

  • This documentary was commissioned by SBS and remains streaming on SBS OnDemand.

  • Found and collated archive footage of specific weapons, ammunition, and historic periods and events, which formed the majority of the video used in the documentary.
